Panasonic is an international brand for many consumer electronic devices, from microwaves to television. Also, it has been popular as digital camera maker. Each Panasonic digital camera is marketed under the Panasonic Lumix brand, from its easy to use compact point and shoot models to DSLRs.

Panasonic digital cameras have been renowned for their high quality Leica lenses. Panasonic also has a wide range of zoom capability, nice looks, and fast performance. The good is that most of today’s Panasonic digital cameras come with lens-shift optical image stabilization, face detection, and scene selection.

The Panasonic DMC-FS7 has a 10.1 megapixel sensor while the FS6 has an 8.1 megapixel sensor. The FS7 has a larger LCD (2.7 in), while the FS6 sports a 2.5 in LCD. Both of these Panasonic digital cameras have an ISO range of 100 to 6400, 50 megabytes of internal memory and 25 scene modes.

These two Panasonic digital cameras equipped with iA (Intelligent Auto) mode. The iA mode integrated in the DMC-FS7 and the DMC-FS6 comprises of four major functions, Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection and Intelligent Scene Selector.

Panasonic’s Mega O.I.S (Optical Image Stabiliser) prevents blurring from hand-shake and Intelligent ISO Control prevents motion blur. The Face Detection system helps the camera to recognize human faces and to focus and set the exposure automatically. Up to 15 faces can be recognized simultaneously.

The Intelligent Scene Selector of these Panasonic digital cameras automatically selects the appropriate scene mode according to the shooting situation – Portrait, Scenery, Macro, Night Portrait and Night Scenery mode. It now features an automatic backlight compensation function that activates whenever the camera detects that the light source is behind the subject. The Quick AF system allows the camera to keep focus on the subject while the camera is in recording mode even before pressing the shutter.

You can enjoy music while playing back your photos since the DMC-FS6 and DMC-FS7 provide slideshows complete with music. All you have to do is just select the photo you want to show and choose the mood that best matches your selection.
