Nikon Coolpix S4 Digital Camera
I you are looking for a nicely designed camera to take great shots of all types, including portraits, architecture, or extreme close-ups, you should try the Nikon Coolpix S4 digital camera.
The Nikon Coolpix S4 is a 6.0 megapixel point and shoot digital camera that contains all of Nikon’s built-in image features such as Face-priority Auto Focus which automatically recognizes faces in a scene and keeps them in focus to help create better pictures, D-Lighting to correct improperly exposed images, and Red-Eye Fix for automatic red-eye correction. It’s also packed with Blur warning to let you know a shot may have been spoiled by camera shake so you can shoot it again.
For composing or previewing your shot, the Nikon Coolpix S4 digital camera is equipped with a large 2.5 inch LCD screen. Unfortunately LCD screen is the only viewfinder you can find on this camera since the Coolpix S4 is not equipped with an optical viewfinder.
Perhaps the most striking thing that set Nikon Coolpix S4 apart from its competitor is its strong, 270º swivel-mount 10x (equivalent to a 38-380mm lens on a 35mm camera) constant F3.5 Nikkor zoom lens. A cool design like this lets you point the lens in almost any direction without losing your LCD screen view.
Another thing that I really like is that the user interface of the Coolpix S4 is easy to learn. I find that most of the exposure options are controlled through the multi-page LCD menu system. However, you can access it with a handful of external controls. It has 16 Scene Modes, and four of them are controlled by Nikon’s Scene Assist programming which helps compose more interesting shots.
In addition, this camera features a Self-Timer mode, providing a 10-second delay between the time the Shutter button is pressed and when the image is actually captured. For power, the Coolpix S4 uses two AA-type batteries, or optional AC adapter.
