The PowerShot S2 is a 5.0 megapixel compact digital camera from Canon with a 12x optical zoom and a 4x digital zoom. The 5.0 megapixel resolution delivers stunning detail and clarity, even to oversized prints and the closest crop-ins.
Just like its predecessor, the popular Powershot S1, the S2 is also furnished with Optical Image Stabilizer that eliminates camera shakes for taking camera shots. The UD lens found in the S2 provides brilliant color accuracy across the entire zoom range.
The Canon PowerShot S2 IS digital camera is equipped with a 1.8 inch LCD power saving and fold out monitor that’s 115,000 pixel resolution. The camera shoots at 30 frames per second; this rate can be reduced when taking pictures in night display, to give you the brightness that you need when taking pictures.
