Constructed solidly, Canon Powershot A20 is another affordable point and shoot digital camera from Canon. The camera has a 2.1 megapixels resolution with a 3x optical zoom lens. The zooming operates precisely, smoothly and fast.

The Canon A20 is also equipped with a 1.5″ LCD screen to preview your shots. You can then delete the images you do not like to give more space in memory card. When you play back the pictures, you will see on the LCD all settings the camera used for each picture such as the date, quality, picture number and compression settings.

The Powershot A20 measures 4.3 x 2.8 x 1.5 inch (110.3 x 71.0 x 37.6 mm) and weighs approximately 8.8 oz (250g).

Pros

Designed compactly, you will find it comfortable to hold the Powershot A20 since you can operate it with one hand. Just rest your one finger on the shutter release while the thumb works the big zoom button on the back of the case.

In a special occasion, you can attach telephoto or wide-angle converters to the camera. If want to take pictures on the beach, you can also attach a waterproof housing such as WP-DC200 underwater case.

Though the Canon A20 is a cheap camera, you can rely on the camera especially when taking pictures in low-light situation. The camera is equipped with an auxiliary light to aid auto focusing.

The PowerShot A20 is featured with a Direct Print mode that enables users to print hard-copy images using Canon CP-10 printer. You can control all print settings directly from the camera’s LCD.

Cons

Powered by four AA alkaline batteries, the Canon A20 has only about 46 minutes of life for only around 66 shots. You should need a couple of sets of rechargeable to extend the A20 usability.
