Sony DSC T77
The Sony DSC T77 camera has all the standard digital photography features you would expect from an affordable digital camera such as white balancing, scene modes and special effects as well as standard video. As all other Sony’s T-series, this camera is an ultra slim, compact digital camera and easy to use. The Sony Cybershot DSC-T77 looks attractive and sturdy in its metallic case. The case also serves as lens shield.
This camera is a worth buying as it takes excellent pictures. The DSC T-77 boasts a 10.1 megapixel resolution with a 4x optical zoom lens (equivalent to a 35-140mm lens on a 35mm camera). It also features a generous 16:9 aspect-ratio 3 inch touchscreen LCD and Sony’s Bionz image processor to improve image quality, faster response times, and longer battery life.
As mentioned, the DSC T77 camera is easy to use so you can take some excellent pictures with a little practice. You can also apply a wide range of special effects without having to load the photos onto your computer and play around with Photoshop. Of course it isn’t fair if you expect the quality of the photos of the DSC-T77 will be as good as what you’ll see from digital SLR cameras, but for point and shoot this is excellent. One thing that some customers complain about is the video quality; it isn’t as good as what they expected.
The camera’s user interface is also easy to navigate and quite intuitive. Rather than touch screen controls, the DSC T77 also has physical controls for key functions like on/off and zoom.
However, if you use the touchscreen interface for a long time it will suck the battery dry very quickly. The camera is powered by a NF-FD1 Li-ion battery. In my opinion you should buy an extra power pack if you decide to purchase this camera. Also, as the DSC-T77 comes with a stingy 15MB memory card, you better buy memory cards with higher capacity to store lots of images and videos.
