If you are just like me who have curiosity on the Nikon D500, you may also have done your own research to find out the facts about this camera. When I did my research on the internet, I found a site which has the rumor about the D500.

It’s the Stock-photo.blogspot.com which has made prediction (rumor?) about the camera. They predicted that the Nikon D500 will be the replacement to the Nikon D300.

According to the site, the Nikon D500 is a pro/enthusiast spec camera with weather sealing and has a 15.5 megapixels resolution. Of course a 15.5MP resolution is more than enough for producing large and detailed pictures. It also has a 1.5x crop factor and a built-in flash. They also predicted that the Nikon D500 will be featured with video mode (24 fps) and full manual control over exposure.

Indeed, it’s hard for me to take it seriously since this site often posted ‘wild’ speculation. My guess, this is just an expectation for a better Nikon camera with more powerful features, such as improved ergonomics and movies, to be a replacement to the D300. They made their prediction in 2008 and expected the Nikon D500 to hit the stores late Q1 2009. However, I haven’t found any press release about this Nikon camera until mid 2009. So, let’s see if the rumor becomes a reality.
