In the world of photography, Nikon is one of the names that exactly needs no introduction. On May 29th 2002, Nikon has announced their five megapixel (5 MP) Coolpix 5700. This Nikon digital camera is equipped with an 8x zoom lens, with an equivalent focal length range of 35 – 280mm and also an “electronic optical viewfinder” (EVF).
The 8.9-71.2mm Zoom-Nikkor, which provides a zoom range equivalent to 35-280mm lens on a 35mm camera, is an all glass optic that includes two glass-molded ED lens elements and Nikon Super Integrated Coating. Focus can be automatically or manually controlled, with an adjustable, five-point AF area. This Nikon digital camera advanced feature set combined with a solid, compact body made of durable Magnesium alloy and a fully articulating LCD screen, makes the Coolpix 5700 an excellent choice for experienced photographer or anyone who wants it.
This Nikon digital camera 5.0-megapixel CCD delivering image resolutions settings at a maximum resolution of 2,560 x 1,920 pixels, which is capable of producing 16 x 20- inch prints and larger with excellent quality. The Coolpix 5700 captures images in standard Uncompressed TIFF, NEF (RAW data), JPEG and Motion JPEG file formats. The rotating LCD monitor makes shooting at odd angles a lot more comfortable, and the new control layout to be slightly more intuitive.
Other high points, this Nikon digital camera packed with NikonView 5, an image browser software that allow us to organize, retrieve and print images, create a slideshow and share images via email, the Web or PDAs. The images can be uploaded into the computer with the included standard USB interface. Then we can manipulate the RAW mode image settings using Nikon Editor software found in NikonView 5.
