by Olan Pays

If you are looking for a fun, pocket-sized and compact digital camera, you should take Canon PowerShot A480 into consideration. Canon introduced the PowerShot A480 digital compact camera as a successor to the PowerShot A470. It comes with a more compact body, easier operation and twenty five percent smaller than its predecessor – the A470.

This entry-level compact digital camera from Canon has a 10MP sensor, 3.3x Canon optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD screen. The A480 is also featured with Canon’s DIGIC III processor, Motion detection and Face Detection.

Canon’s DIGIC III processor in the A480 results in high image quality and superb colour reproduction as it drives the rapid response times.

The A480 prevents blurry images with the motion detection technology. It uses changes in scene information to identify subject motion and camera-shake. ISO is then optimised for minimum blur and maximum image quality.

Face Detection Technology detects up to nine faces in a scene and adjusts focus, exposure, flash settings and white balance – for optimal results with natural-looking skin tones.

Digital camera compact=As an easy-to-use camera, the A480 is featured with a new simplified button layout. With dedicated buttons for zoom, mode and playback and an improved User Interface, it’s as easy to operate as it is to carry. This is very useful for capturing spontaneous snapshots.

You may don’t like the appearance and design of this Canon digital camera very much, but it does have the potential to take some good-looking shots with high image quality.
