The newest iPod touch is no longer just a media player but more than that. In no doubt the iPod Touch is certainly great for music and movies but it’s so much more than just for listening to music and watching movies.
Supported by a vast and still growing third-party community, the latest model of the iPod touch represents an Apple’s handheld computing platform. This incredible portable device has turned into a complete mobile computer with thousands and more third-party applications available on Apple’s iTunes Apps Store.
One of the latest models the iPod touch fans have been waiting for is the iPod touch 4th Gen. Known as “the iPhone without the phone” the new iPod Touch 4th Gen comes with amazing design, HD video recording capabilities, a superior display, Wi-Fi, and a ton of features carried over from iPhone 4.
Amazing design
As far as design goes, the iPod Touch 4th Gen is obviously lighter and thinner than its predecessors but still maintains a sturdy feel with curved, chromed steel backing. This new iPod touch is now a mere 7.2 mm thin.
While the profile of the buttons is the same as on the previous models, the volume rocker is now split into two separate buttons. Headphone and dock connections are still on the bottom, but they are joined by a small speaker frame slit on the left side of the dock connection.
HD video recording
The coolest thing about the iPod Touch 4th generation is the addition of two video cameras–one facing the user and one facing out and its capability of recording High Definition video.
The itouch 4th generation can record HD video up to 30 frames per second with audio; still photos (960 x 720) with back camera. With the front camera, you can capture VGA-quality photos and video up to 30 frames per second.
Retina display
Turn the iTouch 4 generation on, and you’re instantly blown away by the brilliant Retina display – the 960-by-640 backlit LCD screen. It packs 326 pixels per inch, making it the highest-resolution iPod screen ever. With Retina display, you will certainly see the difference. Text is outstandingly sharp, and graphics are amazingly vivid.
Game Center
Take your friends along for the ride, or match and mission. With the new iPod Touch You can invite someone by sending a friend request using their email address or nickname. All you need to do is just signed in to the Game Center app. You can also download any games you see by tapping links in Game Center.
