With the Canon’s Perpetual Curve design, the Canon Powershot SD800 IS Digital ELPH is another stylish yet quality point and shoot digital camera from Canon. Just like other Digital ELPHs, the Canon SD800 is comfortable not only to carry around but to shoot with. You can easily manage the camera with just your right hand. The SD800 measures 90 x 58 x 25mm (3.5 x 2.3 x 1.0in) and weighs about 150gr (5.3 ounces).

In term of features, the Canon SD800 has a 7.1 megapixel resolution, enough resolution for very large prints. It also features a 3.8x optical zoom lens (equivalent to a 28-105mm lens on a 35mm camera), a good wide-angle to moderate telephoto. A 2.5 inch LCD monitor and an optical viewfinder are available for composing your shot. The camera also offers a rather wide ISO sensitivity range, from 100 to 1,600. The DIGIC III image processor makes the SD800 an extraordinary responsive camera while delivering excellent image quality even in difficult situations.

What’s awesome about this camera is that the Canon SD800 incorporates Canon’s excellent Image Stabilization (IS) technology. IS will drastically reduce the effect of camera shake at slow shutter speed or long zoom settings. With the help of IS, you to take excellent pictures under light condition 4x darker than you could handle without it.

In addition, the Canon Powershot SD800 IS is PictBridge capable. You can print your pictures to any printer that supports PictBridge directly, without the need for a computer. The camera uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for power.
