The Canon Powershot A460 is an entry level digital camera that offers many powerful features. It is an easy to use and also stylish digital camera. While not among the smallest models on the digital camera market, the Canon A460 is small enough to fit in a pocket or belt pouch. It measures 106 (W) x 40.2 (D) x 51.8 (H) mm and weighs about 165gr.
The Canon A460 sports a 5 megapixel resolution with a 4x optical zoom lens and 4x digital zoom capability. With a 5MP resolution, you can have bright and detailed prints up to 8 x10 inches in size.
To preview and line up your shot, the Powershot A460 is equipped with a 2.0 inch LCD display (86,000 pixels). Also, you can save the battery power by lining up your shot through the optical viewfinder instead of using the LCD screen. The Canon A460 itself is powered by two AA batteries (Alkaline or NiMH batteries)
Equipped with many powerful features such as a full auto mode, a manual mode and eight preset scene modes, the Canon A460 digital camera is an excellent camera at a very reasonable price. The camera is also featured with the movies mode and audio capture but it does not match good quality standards. At 320 x 240 pixel resolution the A460 provides a 30 frame per second smooth viewing and looks decent on the LCD display.
The Canon A460 has an ISO sensitivity up to 400 and is equipped with utility functions like built in flash, auto flash and red eye reduction. The built in flash unit can be set to always on, automatic and always off. You can also use settings for red eye reduction and slow synchro. The maximum range of the flash unit is 3m.
